![]() If I have the DVD drive (this is OE stock apple superdrive) in an external USB enclosure I can maybe 25% of the time get the machine to boot normally into win 7 pro however this is inconsistant at best. Pop the DVD drive back in and it works fine and dandy every time again. ![]() ![]() The interesting thing as I beat my head against a wall over consecutive days I found that if I took the optibay out and just had a empty bay where the DVD used to be the same behavior is still observed. Everything was fine and peachy until I tried to run fusion again which then booted 30x slower (if at all, sometimes it just hangs at the bios load screen) which as you can imagine makes it pretty unusable. Recently I removed the optical drive from the unit with the thoughts of installing an optibay with a spare drive in it. I have a 17" macbook pro that I have run fusion on since v1.
